Inspiring young audiences.

✱ Coming to Tulsa in 2026
Children are growing up in a complex and often overwhelming world. They deserve spaces where they can slow down, wonder, and feel truly seen. At a time when they are longing for understanding, connection, and care, Redbud Theatre steps forward to create professional theatre that helps us practice those things together.
Redbud is where children are welcomed as they are, where imagination is honored, and where theatre becomes a seed from which empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to community can grow.
Founded on the belief that children are already deep thinkers and brave feelers, Redbud’s productions will be designed specifically for young audiences. Through live performance, we will invite children to laugh, imagine, and make sense of their world alongside their grown-ups. The stories brought to life on stage will spark conversation, deepen understanding, and have an impact that lasts long after the curtain falls.
Professional theatre that grows imagination, empathy, and community.
what we're creating
Redbud Theatre for Young Audiences will produce:
Mainstage performances for school field trips and family audiences
Professional touring productions that bring theatre directly into schools
Educational stories that connect to curriculum and social-emotional learning
Sensory-friendly and inclusive performances that welcome all children
Our programs will serve elementary-aged students and their families throughout Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma, with productions and learning experiences designed to meet children where they are developmentally, emotionally, and imaginatively.
Our first season will be announced soon.
Redbud Theatre will be instrumental in developing the next generation of theatre patrons.
